Reading: The Music Festival

📖 The Music Festival

Manuel and his team were putting together a community music festival in Liberia. The idea had been put forward... Manuel had put in months of planning, but many committee members kept wanting to put off the event due to limited funds.

Manuel refused to give up. He put out an announcement on social media that attracted several sponsors almost immediately. The team worked long hours. They put away all the equipment carefully after each rehearsal and put back every item in its place to keep the venue organized.

Not everyone was easy to work with. One committee member constantly put down Manuel's ideas in meetings, calling them unrealistic. But Manuel learned to put up with the negativity and stayed focused on the goal.

On the morning of the festival, a major sponsor called to confirm a large donation. The assistant put the call through to Manuel immediately. He answered, smiled, and said "We're ready."

The festival was a huge success. "We really put on something special today," said Manuel, looking out at the crowd.
